How To Animate A Sequence of Images

Png sequence animation integrated to a run animation

If you have a sequence of images (png, jpg)  that should cycle through inside DragonBones then there is a way to animate it in DragonBones.

Example A: Smoke

You can download the used smoke effect here for free

Create a new empty project.
Drag and drop the smoke effect or your png sequences into DragonBones

Next add the smoke effect onto the scene

This will create an image slot with the first smoke image.

Select all the other remaining smoke effects and drag them into the newly added image slot on the scene panel (Attention ! Not scene > Scene panel)

Now you have all images under 1 slot. The first image will be always displaced in position. So you need select the first image and reposition it so it matches with the rest

After that is done switch to Animation Mode.
Here you have to simply switch through each image in the image slot with 2 frames steps each.
To loop it you need to switch to the first image in the last frame.

Example B: Explosion

You can download the explosion effect here for free

Do the same steps as in example A with the smoke.
You get a result like this

The only difference is that you probably don't want a looped explosion. Therefore when you set the last keyframe all explosion images should be deselected like the following figure
